Insight HR Solutions is mandated by one of its clients to recruit a Project Manager for immediate employment. The operations will be located in Takoradi.

Job Description:

The Project Manager will report to the Operations Manager. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in managing complex industrial projects, with minimal need for onboarding or long-term training. We are looking for a results-driven professional who can quickly adapt to our environment and operate with a high degree of independence. The right candidate will combine their strong organizational skills, technical competence, and commercial acumen, ensuring the successful delivery of projects.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Lead the full lifecycle of projects, from estimating and planning to execution and close-out.

·       Negotiate and manage the commercial aspects of projects with clients, in line with company policies and authorized credit limits.

·       Coordinate and allocate technical, human, and equipment resources in collaboration with internal departments.

·       Prepare construction sites, define manpower and equipment needs, and ensure accurate collection of project data at completion.

·       Manage procurement, subcontractors, and project-related purchases within approved limits.

·       Handle project-related financial disputes and ensure proactive client communication.

·       Implement and enforce HSEQ policies, ensuring strict compliance with safety protocols and actively contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

·       Mentor and train junior staff, fostering skills development within the team.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience:

·       Degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Piping, and/or Structural Engineering.

·       Minimum 3–5 years of proven project management experience in the Oil & Gas, Mining, or Offshore industries.

·       Strong technical background with practical, hands-on knowledge of:

-Metallic structures, boiler works, and pipework.

-Welding symbols, isometric and mechanical drawing conventions.

-Computer-aided design/drafting (CAD) tools.

·       Proficiency in project management, budgeting, risk management, and commercial negotiation.

·       Fluent in English (French is a strong asset).

Additional Requirements:

·       Candidate must be willing to relocate to Takoradi or must currently reside in Takoradi at their own cost. While there may be an allowance for relocation, the candidate will be responsible for covering their relocation expenses.
